We look forward to continuing to support local and international parents in 2017 to better understand, develop, and connect with their children.
- ELG Co-founder and Program Director, Dr. Shari Rosen, spoke at the Pudong Special Education School. Sponsored by ELG’s sister NGO, Xiersen, board member Dr. Rosen talked to parents about social communication with the help of colleague Carolyn Liu to translate.
- We wrapped up two 5 week parent trainings at an international school. Topics included discipline, establishing routines, and motor skill development.
Fundraising for Women’s Healthcare
Marketing Director, Angela Cruz, was part of the organizing team for a large fundraising event for an external organization. Graphic Designer, Galadriel Goldberg Vormès, performed at the event, which included a variety of entertaining acts and information booths for community health and empowerment groups.
Sarah Joins SIMHA
Dramatherapist Sarah Bilodeau has joined the Shanghai International Mental Health Association (SIMHA). SIMHA is a multidisciplinary professional association of therapists who provide mental health services to the international communities in Shanghai.
Founded in 2008, SIMHA’s goals are to improve the quality, quantity, and accessibility of mental health services available to the international communities in Shanghai.

Angela is a social impact marketer who has worked in Canada, England, and China. Angela oversees the Marketing Department, raising awareness about ELG’s high quality services and encouraging families to access the support ELG offers. She is in awe of special educators and therapists who do valuable, heartfelt work. She is proud to promote their knowledge, talents and passion.
