Working on your child’s language doesn’t have to be complicated. ‘Commenting’and ‘Expanding’are two simple language strategies that you can use.

1 – COMMENTING is a strategy used to provide your child with a model of words and phrases that you want them to learn. When commenting, you’re providing them with a language-rich environment, without the added pressure of having to answer questions.

2 – EXPANDING is when you take your child’s sentence and you repeat it back to them while adding one extra word.This strategy is great for young kids who are starting to put together simple phrases and to encourage them to use longer and longer sentences.
