ELG and Lifeline Shanghai are proud to launch this year’s R U OK? Day Art Competition. This competition is to promote the importance of positive mental health through art! The competition is open to all Middle and High School students in the Greater Shanghai area. Winners will be announced online at the end of June.

If you notice someone feeling moody, withdrawn, behaving recklessly, overly concerned about the future, or perhaps no longer interested in the things they used to love, or if they might be going through some big changes in their lives – those are all signs that someone may be having trouble coping.
If you notice a change, no matter how small, trust your gut, trust the signs, and ask: “Are you OK?” Ask those 3 simple words and make a huge difference.

Create an original artwork embracing this year’s theme! Express yourself through a drawing, painting, poster design or photograph. Your unique interpretation is what we are looking for!
Entries will be prominently displayed at this year’s R U OK? Day and even stand the chance to be made into different products. Winning entries will also be featured on ELG and Lifeline Shanghai’s social media accounts, sharing their powerful artwork with the Shanghai community and beyond.

Please send your artwork by post or courier to ELG’s Puxi Campus (Address: No 19-20, Lane 209, Zhen Nan Road, Putuo District, Shanghai, China 200333) OR electronically to [email protected] by  June 10, 2020.
Note: title of art, simple story behind your work, name, age, school and contact details are to be written behind the art piece.
