It’s sometimes difficult to tell what is typical behavior for your child. Wouldn’t it be helpful to have a checklist of important milestones?

CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), America’s national health protection agency, has developed a comprehensive tool to make help you keep track of your child’s important developmental milestones from between 2 months and 5 years old.

CDC Milestone Tracker offers parents an interactive, illustrated checklist of developmental milestones with plenty of visual aids. Monitoring physical, social-emotional and cognitive domains, it provides photos and videos of examples of what each milestone looks like to help you identify them in your child.

It also reminds you when to take action. It helps you keep track of your child’s doctor’s appointments, letting you know when it’s time to “act early” and talk with your child’s doctor about developmental concerns.

Finally, the CDC Milestone Tracker consolidates your child’s developmental progress into a milestone summary to view, share with, or email to your child’s doctor and other important care providers.

The CDC Milestone Tracker is available in English for free download on the App Store and Google Play (you can find the .apk file here if you do not have access to Google services).
