Early Childhood
Overview: At ELG, we believe that through timely and targeted support, children can help ensure children reach their full potential and actively participate in various aspects of life. We are committed to supporting children through early childhood intervention, ensuring the establishment of a foundation for lifelong success. Our bilingual Early Childhood Intervention Kindergarten provides a comprehensive education program that fosters the holistic development of children with various support needs ages 3 - 6, providing them with essential skills and knowledge while nurturing their personal growth. Our program is designed to create individualized pathways to success for children and their families. Our multidisciplinary team includes professionals from various disciplines, embedding speech, occupational, art and music therapy, supported by teachers who reinforce goals throughout the school day.
What is Early Childhood Intervention? Early Childhood Intervention is a system of coordinated services that promote the development of young children who are at risk of developmental delays or have disabilities. Founded on the belief that addressing developmental challenges early in a child's life can lead to more positive outcomes and reduce the impact of potential difficulties in the long term (Bailey, Raspa, & Fox, 2012). Early childhood intervention enhances overall intellectual development and wellbeing in children, provides timely and effective support for young children's growth, and improves school readiness, especially for children with developmental needs (Guralnick, M. J. (2011).
