Katy is a certified speech-language pathologist (CCC-SLP) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She specializes in helping children with language, speech, and communication disorders through comprehensive management and interdisciplinary collaboration. She is also a certified speech-language pathologist for programs such as It Takes Two to Talk ®,More Than Words ®,TalkAbility ® by the Hanen Centre in Canada. Before joining ELG, Katy worked in various private and government educational institutions in the United States, including several special needs preschools under the New York City Department of Education and private clinics. She has extensive clinical experience in providing assessment and intervention services for children with autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, language delays, articulation disorders dysarthria. As a speech-language pathologist at ELG, Katy provides individual and group speech intervention services for children and adolescents with different speech and language disorders, aiming to develop their functional and social communication skills. She also works closely with parents and caregivers to help children maximize the use of their learned skills in everyday life situations.
