Psychodynamic Therapy

What is Psychodynamic Therapy?

Psychodynamic Therapy is based on the understanding that individuals are often unaware of many of the factors that determine their emotions and behavior. It helps to reveal how these unconscious factors may affect current patterns of behavior, and supports the client to find tools to deal better with the realities of life. The Psychodynamic Therapy approach provides a safe environment in which a client can express and explore their emotions, feelings, thoughts, worries, memories, and dreams. Talking with a Specialist helps the client to gain new insights about their situation. Heightened self-awareness can lead to increased confidence and effective processing of emotional and behavioral conflicts, which in turn promotes personal development and wellbeing.

Who Benefits from Psychodynamic Therapy?

Any child, adolescent or adult who is experiencing social, emotional, and often also behavioral issues can benefit from Psychodynamic Therapy.
