Kristen is a licensed speech language pathologist in Illinois and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She specializes in working with young children with speech-language impairment, fluency disorders and articulation disorders, along with adult patients with voice, swallowing and upper-airway disorders, and cognitive-communication disorders. Prior to joining ELG, Kristen worked at several different skilled nursing facilities in the United States, evaluating and treating geriatric patients with a variety of speech-language, cognitive-communication, voice and swallowing disorders. She also interned at a trauma 1 hospital, treating patients with voice and swallowing disorders, and at a K-8 magnet school, treating students with receptive, expressive and pragmatic language deficits, fluency disorders, articulation disorders and reading/writing impairment. As a speech-language pathologist in ELG’s Programs, Kristen conducts assessments, provides therapeutic treatment and evaluates therapy progress. She loves working with children and is passionate about helping them grow.
