Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically derived and validated approach to understanding behavior and how it is affected by the environment. ABA therapy is the use of different techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behaviors and skills from toddlers through adulthood. The goal of ABA therapy is to increase useful behaviors and skills, and reduce those that may cause harm or may interfere with learning.

Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) is used to determine the underlying reason of a behavior, so that an effective intervention plan can be developed. The benefits of FBA are that a child’s behavior is observed by a specialist and analyzed in different situations, which provides insights that could be missed when the behavior is only looked at in one situation. FBA follows a four step process to help understand a child’s behavior.
