Dr. Catherine Kang is an experienced educational psychologist trained in the United States. She is also a US certified cognitive behavioral therapist, life coach, applied behavioral analyst and instructional strategist. Dr. Kang is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children, the American Psychological Association, and the American Educational Research Association. Prior to joining ELG, Dr. Kang worked as an educational psychologist, a school counselor and a special educational teacher in Iowa, New York, Oregon, Ohio, and Shanghai, supporting children from kindergarten age through Grade 12. Dr. Kang has extensive experience helping children with a variety of skills and abilities, including those with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, and social-emotional difficulties, as well as working with parents and teachers on behavior management. She also taught courses as an assistant professor at Wittenberg University and Portland State University. As an educational psychologist, Dr. Kang takes pride in providing a clear picture of child’s learning profile, their strengths and weaknesses, educational needs and providing recommendations relevant for educational planning. Dr. Kang is dedicated to helping her clients build strengths and achieve their best life.
