Monte Rosen co-founded ELG in 2006, serving as Managing Director until 2024, and remains an active advisor and Board Member of the TTELG Education Group. Under his leadership, ELG grew into a leading provider of education and developmental services, with over 90 employees, supporting thousands of children, families, and educators across Shanghai and beyond.
Monte’s journey in special education began in the 1980s, when he ran programs for teenagers and adults with developmental disabilities and facilitated parent-educator training sessions. Inspired by his wife, Dr. Shari Rosen, and the urgent need for special education services in Shanghai, Monte returned to this calling, co-founding ELG to drive meaningful change and advocate for neurodivergent individuals.
With a background in psychology and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, Monte combines his leadership expertise with a deep personal commitment to inclusion. He frequently speaks on topics including neurodivergent parenting, values-driven organizations, and balancing entrepreneurship with family life.
Monte is also a prominent member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), mentoring leaders and startups, and has received honors such as the EO “Community Impact Award” (2023) and IPWS “He-for-She” Award (2018). His passion for inclusion continues to shape ELG’s mission to empower individuals and build a stronger community.
